Doug
The capsules are growing and the top hydro program along with the national high point fund is also growing. There are a lot of people working very hard and throwing a lot of money at the capsules to bring them back and help them grow. Don't knock it quite yet
Remember a legal 1100H or Top Hydro is any motor 500cc and up so we have plenty out there.

CSH is a solid class, but I am guessing that the 1100cc hydro ride as some positive attributes as well.....
As for the positive attributes of an 1100cc hydro ride, I'm too much of a whimp to find out - too scary fast for me.

well from US any cc matching any class any mfg. can be mounted on any tower housing and ran on gas is also ok..
You need to come up to Raleigh N.C. and run your CSH in 400osy and see the way the U.S. Title Series runs a race with New equiptment(not rebuilt) that you can be buy right out of the box put on a boat and run very competitively. Oh yea this is my way of recurting Buy you Dinner if you show up

I have not seen a new American made 1100cc engine in the past 5 years. The last effort was a conversion of a snow mobile engine that had only limited success. Steve Litzell made a 1000cc engine from Yamaha's a couple of years ago, but this was a Japanese based power pleant with USA ingenuity. The largest engines from Europe that I am aware of are 700cc Konney's (not Konigs), VRP's and GRM's. The recycled Konigs have been given new life by contemporary ignitions systems in 500cc-1100cc.
As Pat mentions, bore & stroke are the main requirements for each PRO class. You can invent an engine or modify an existing engines, so long as (1) it runs on a liquid fuel and (2) does not have a super-charger. Otherwise, invent away!!David Weaver

but the major sponsor who wishes the class to grow and wants to leave 1100 as max so anyone with the desire can use engines this size. There are plenty of 1100 cc engines out there but is much easier to purchase new from MFG'S David mentioned.
