I'm taking orders for this improved Bud Parker style steel mod tower. It can be drilled for any gearcase and powerhead, and is available in 7-1/2" (Parker short) and 9-1/4" (44XS) heights. New features include:
1) A bronze bushed, lubricated 45SS style vernier thrust yoke designed for 1" pivot pin Merc clamp & swivel brackets (can be machined for the 7/8" pivot pin. This design provides perfect centerline steering, eliminating uncontrolled turn kick-out experienced with the shoe-style thrust device.
2) Integrated steering bracket ears and bars (not shown). No need for powerhead adapters, auxiliary steering brackets, or carry handles.
3) Open box structure for external racing exhaust, or optional closed structure for hiding your tuner or quiet internal laking exhaust.
4) Optional Merc style friction co-pilot feature. Note: This shortens overall tower height by 1/8".
5) Double tig-welded 4130 Chrome-Moly structure, pivot pin, and internal bracing.
6) Welded steel thrust plate bolts directly into Merc brackets with no drilling with 3/4" fine thread vernier thrust control.
$895 for all above (clamps & swivel not included).
$995 for all above fitted to your Merc clamp and swivel.
