The 60-J I have, and have had since it was new and my son raced it some 35 years ago has a splined propshaft. Is there an adapter that fits the spline and lets a shear pin type prop work?

Yes. Actually it slides on the splines and has 2 pins that let you use props with 2 notches at the front.


The adapter in the picture below has the pins missing
