The NGK Spark Plugs Formula 1 Powerboat Championship series would like to formally invite each one of you to join us in beautiful Lake Havasu City, Arizona to celebrate the legendary London Bridges 50th anniversary. We plan to relive the glory days of powerboat racing while once again dazzling the shores of this desert city with the running of the beloved Lake Havasu Classic Outboard Championships! In conjunction with the month-long city-wide celebration, a variety of activities to commemorate this historical milestone will culminate with the heart-thumping, high-horsepower deck to deck racing excitement of the Lake Havasu Classic Outboard Championships on October 15-17, 2021 as the celebrations anchor event.

Other elements of this event will include rededication of the city’s famous London Bridge, historical museum display, beach party, vintage boat display, and the Lake Havasu Classic Racer Reunion – which will showcase Lake Havasu’s legendary drivers alongside vintage racing boats – to give contestants and spectators alike the opportunity to appreciate our sport, both in years past, and present. Race headquarters and free “front and center” racetrack spectating areas that allow fans access to the best racecourse viewing at the Nautical Beachfront Resort, 1000 McCullough Blvd. N, overlooking Thompson Bay – which long-time powerboat participants and fans will remember as the original championship event location dating back to 1964. We intend to reignite a spark of powerboat history in this long-forgotten arena and foster new growth for our sport.
