I had a chance to make some runs with the new production version of the 15 Sidewinder at Whitney Point this past Sat. With the normal long course prop and set up I run on my Hot Rod I was out of prop half way to the first turn on the short course that was set up. The motor pulls strong through the turns and out of them all way till I was out of prop. We didn't get to much chance to put all the test stuff in the boat as it was just a hurry up deal before the race so didn't get any speed or RPM reading but from the feel in the boat its right there in speed and that was in windy rough conditions. The motor started one pull in the water and jumped right on plane. The sound is much like the old motor but with a deeper more throaty sound. Ed Runne has put alot into this and its showing now with the results. We will be making more tests in the next couple weeks and will post those as well.
