I have compiled an incomplete archive of JSR records, I recently was provided an APBA records archive file that had records from 1970 through 1980, 1988 and 1989. I combined that with records from old APBA record books 62-68, and Propeller magazines. Help fill in the blanks if you have anything that is missing.

This brings back some cool old memories. For Information and History... FYI... The pre 1970 records were with the original Mercury KF-5, Green Gas Tank motors. I think the Mercury 60-J motor came out in 1968.

Dean, it looks like the course was changed at Lawrence Lake starting in 1977. I was surprised to see that in 58 they managed to fit a 1 2/3 mile course onto Devils Lake also.

The course at Devils Lake was longer with smaller turns than the Lake Lawrence course. Lawrence Lake with the wider turns caused the speeds to go up. Tacoma Outboard Association started the Lake Lawrence Record Course in 1960. And the Devils Lake records were history.
