Todd is correct. Washington leads the way with 80 - most of those on the backs of the C service crew that comes every year. Second is California with their 71. Third is Michigan with 64 - Team Green has the majority of those. Fourth comes Indiana with 59 - the Kirts crew and Jack Campbells' C service wins carries that state. Florida has 51 which just edges out Illinois 49.

          BDOBR trivia

Plans are in the works to have a DePue Nationals trivia contest at the Boat Racer Reunion in DePue so I wont be posting any questions here for a while because I have to save them for that night. I will start back once the reunion is over.

            Question 10

[B]ok so no one who was at the boat racer reunion can answer these as they were asked during the trivia contest.

[B] So here is question 10 - John Peters won his 5 consecutive OSY 400 title this year . But there is a driver who won the same class for 6 consecutive years . Can you name the driver and the classs ?

                Buddy is right

You are corrrect Paulie. From 1996-2001 buddy won 6 straight 125 hydro championships. By the way , CONGRATS ON YOUR 125r WIN THIS YEAR. With all the work the volunteers did to get the lake ready this year you gave them a nice reward.

                  Question 11

You may need to have been around awhile to get this answer. So Lake DePue held the Nationals from 1965-1974 and again from 1985-to the present. There are 5 drivers that have won a National in both of those time frames , can you name them ?

And also in 1961. I was there with an A/B Swift and an A Konig and a B Champion Hot Rod. '61 was the first Depue Nationals although races had been held on the lake dating back to the 30's.

You are right Tim , 1961 was the 1st National on Lake DePue , altho the first race on Lake DePue actually was in 1907. Over 100 years of racing history in DePue.
