    • New Boat, New Water

Dave Anderson finds the water at Silver Lake near Castle Rock, Wa to his liking. The new boat looked great on the water!

          • Thanx

Well thanx Mike....overall I am pretty happy...motor seemed to run great....new pistons and rings etc, so it is not broke in yet. Boat really came alive with a different skid fin, which suprised me. I have 2 new wheels coming so more testing to come. The only down side to the day was that I lost one of my mirrors....but all in all a good day.

              • Cut suit

I actually won the cut suit at the SOA party..it is nearly new and fits me perfectly. I actually upgraded everything over the winter boat wise....new props, motor stuff, boat, etc. Only thing left is to put on APBA stickers and break motor in and I am ready to do battle at first race. I hope.

Wish we could have been there, slaving away in the boat shop, d'oh.

                    • I got my one year old Hemp hydro in Nov. at the national meeting of NBRA in KC,Mo. . Only been able to test for about 15 minets and just broke iin the new rings on Y102; Maybe next weekend. the NBRA will have a test weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo. for 2 days. I have several props to try, also some new DeWald props. To see what runs best. Ray 6T

Here are some pics of our latest new build. The warm weather has been excellent for epoxy drying times.

I have some 3 inch air holes drilled in the cockpit side...not sure how I am going to seal those...I will think of something. David Ps...I have more pics of clearcoated boat...maybe Sean can post them for me.
Answer to seal air holes as follows. Smash down the honeycomb with a screwdriver about 1/4 inch back fromthe edge. Mix up a batch of epoxy with micro-baloons (plastic filler) to a dryer mix than peanut butter so there is no shine to it and it is stiff but workable (makes lighter filler). Apply with popcicle sticks or tongue depressers. Let cure then sand smooth.
