  • Man Caves

I just completed insulating my 25 x 35 man cave or as my wife calls it the garage.......go figure. I did the ceiling and walls all by my lonesome and I have to admit I feel like I just ran a marathon.......poor me . Anyway I'd love to see some pics of your "cave". I have a plan in my head as to how I'll finish it off but I'm not above plagiarizing a good idea.

    Thx,

    Sam

There are times a funnel screwed to the wall with a hose that goes outside can be pretty convenient. although not necessarily pretty LOL. of course this depends on how far it is to the house and if your neighbors are close or not. if you have not figured out why yet... it has to do with unloading those beers that used to be in the above mentioned fridge. works good for too much coffee too

A good sound system, it needs to get louder cleanly than the majority of the tools you use, or it is worthless.
A dish receiver or cable box depending. Flat screens are nice they can hang on the wall. thereby not taking up valuable bench space.
I would like to build A white noise generator that can be dialed in by the user to blank out certain voices from the house( I think if perfected this one could be the one that would pay for retirement)

I know you have many options here to build your own man cave. But just in case you need a little help these guys at this site are pro's. Maybe you can get some ideas.

OMG , you've been in my neighbors garage. At first I wasn't sure what I was looking at until it dawned on me I was in the "men's" room..........to funny.

Chris, you crack me up. If your wondering what Chris is referring to by "Harsens Island tennis shoes" they are knee high rubber boots that are standard issue when living on this island.

My shortest camera lens right now is a 50mm so there's no chance of getting a shot of the whole thing

It appears no one wants to post their man caves. I just registered not to long ago, trying to educate myself about this sport. Here is my Man Cave.....

                    You guys have it made

I do everything in a 10'x20' tent I bought at Costco. When I have to make a cut on full sheet of ply, I have to jack the boat up in the air. It takes so much extra time just to plan out my next move some times. I still love it though. It's my place to relax and get into a creative mood.

                          Whatever it takes

The pitchers of the tent are a perfect example of doing whatever it takes, you do not need a whole lot, just a warm dry place, it may be cramped but does the job.

Hmmm... A Stewart longboard and what looks to be a Balsa board...
Could this be the Jeff Akers I remember from Surfer Magazine years ago?

I notice you have a shop bot, do you cut pieces out for boats? What kind of work do you do in there? Looks like a nice place to work.
