My Two Cents
They will work in every class that is raced in Mod and Stock and Pro. Hydro or runabout. Whether they dominate is debatable. I have seen lay down hulls compete very well in most classes at some point. I ran a laydown hull in 850CCH a couple years ago in Constantine MI race. I was out front of the National Champion of that year and most likley would have won both heats had my gearboxes not failed both days.
There are differences in the hulls when kneeling or laying down. Marc has been on the cutting edge of design and a true leader in new concepts into the U.S. boat designs.
My dad is running a lay down hull in 750CCMH and when he elects to compete in the ABPA races he does pretty well.
Just remember, if you plan on evre runnign Mod with your hull, as a step up or anything, make sure you ask the designer you choose to incorporate mirrors into the design. They are required by the rules this year.Dave Mason

I asked the question because I thought there would be more than the cockpit needing a few changes to do it, No place like here to ask aye?
What I have are a C-Bezoats that I have a good amount of practice in & really like plus a C-Bunky Bowerman that I havnt run yet. I hear their good too but take practice. For now Ill have to stick with them. Id like to set the Bunky up for my OMC25 for 350 mod hydro but not this weekend. Mirrors huh?? can they second as aero-dynamic thingys too?Team Tower

Out of curiosity however, has anyone ever tried a snow mobile style trigger worked off the thumb on a laydown? Seems like a natural fit.John Sherlock

John I've wondered about that for a while now. It seems to me it would allow more control, but, then who knows....

Dewey,
Please give me a call before you make any decisions and we'll discuss it, there are pros & cons. I've been racing CSH since 1973 and designing and building boats since 1977. I'm not trying to sell a boat, I don't have the time or interest to sell boats (at least for now)I just want to help steer you in the right direction.H- 252-636-9007 or W- 252-638-3300 ext. 6282John Runne

Stock Outboard is all about a level playing field.
True parity is one motor per class.
It's RACING, not just another boat ride!
