Out front that's Ed Wulf with a modified A-B Swift hydro. He did win.

The way I remember reading about A Hydro at Beloit Eddie pounded the transom out of his Marchetti in rough water but because he was defending Champ he got to run in the restart with the borrowed boat??
Anybody remember what happened?

OOPS, My mistake, it was Jack Evans. He was from northern NJ & his father was a Dr. Even though he was a Sid guy, he had modified the Swift & thought that it was much faster.
