          My apologies

          Russ,
I sent in a sanction request to you at AOF for the East Coast Short Course Nationals, and also the insurance request. It was approved and the City of Pineville received the proper insurance from AOF. This cost the Pelican Club a total of $385.00 that was mailed to you at AOF. We also signed up everyone at the event with AOF and they have paid their dues, which was also sent to you. If you do not know anything about this, I would expect that check not to clear and we will make sure that we handle our business with other organizations. If that check does clear, I would like to discuss what the meaning of B.S. is with you. I think it would be a good idea for you to handle these matters in a private message, or over the phone with me. I am responding to this message here, to inform the newest AOF members my response to YOUR post. This hurts the reputation of boat racing which is very important to the Hebert Family, which are lifetime members of AOF, since the 1960's. Although, we have not had the privlege of meeting you, RUSS. You can reach me at the same number you reached me at, last month, before the race was held. Have a nice day.
          Your Big Buddy,
          Shane Hebert

            Hi Shane,
I emailed Russ right away when I read the post from the *ex dir* and told him exactly what you said. If it helps, I am not sure this is even Russ. Since I happen to know a little bit about the Executive Director position of AOF myself, there is no excuse for such a reply on a public forum. That response does not reflect in the slightest the philosophy of the grass roots racing organization started by such great people as your grandfather. Let's just hope this is all a misunderstanding, and that the person who posted isn't even the present Executive Director because that isn't the way he should be acting.
If it is him, he should retract the post and give you a call. If not then he SHOULD be the EX Executive Director and all of us who get a vote should put someone in that position that truly understands the basic ideals of a great organization.
            PS> we sure miss you.

What size of course did you run??? Those speeds look like peak speeds, and not overall average lap speeds? Am I right???

Those are top straightaway speeds. You are correct.

I sure had a hard time with you in B1 Hydro... that first turn was a CLOSE one.

Sounds like all had a good time.
Did my friend Carl Staron M.D. make it to the show? I tried to get him on the water at Frostproof but didn't succeed.
Glad to see you guys having fun!

I've never met an Hebert that wasn't next to impossible, if not impossible, to beat if he had a Hot Rod on the transom. Just about the same with a B-1 - no matter if it is an OMC B-1 or a Merc B-1.

I'm glad you're picking on Ralph in Super E hydro instead of outrunning me in E hydro!

                              Ms. " A Bear "

I think APBA winter nationals are in Alex in March? DO you know the date? Make sure and bring Tab. There will be a good chance I'll bring Bryce along. They can play dueling yo-yo's.

I'll need to get my boiled crawfish fix. You'll have to scope out where I can find some.

I'll be at the Auburn-LSU game this weekend. Maybe I can find a link of andouille on someones grill. Geaux Tigers!
