The top photo doesn't do justice to what I saw happen through my camera viewfinder. Already on the inside in turn 2 and driving hard to pass AJ, Ryan's boat "hopped" to the right. In other words, while he was going around the turn, the boat popped up and moved sideways, then landed normally and Ryan kept going and finished the heat. I don't think I even captured Ryan at the height of his flight.
