Clarification and Explanation:

There has been some confusion on the next race date in Lake Placid.
The date now remains (unfortunately) the same week end as the winter nationals. As you all know, getting permits on Lake Apthorpe was a tremendous job. We had our dates approved for several months and worked our best with all schedules so as not to conflict. A few dates were added and a few were changed, which caused conflict. Our club had every intention of changing the date of Lake Placid to not conflict, and I even had Connie post the change. Unfortunately, the county will not cooperate and our original date has to stand. (March 25-26). We encourage anyone who can, to attend the Winter Nationals in Pineville. Ed, Dave Guadagnoli, and Connie Payn have worked very hard to make the race happen. If you cannot attend the Winter Nationals you are welcome to come race/test with us at Lake Placid. All stock, mod, PRO, SLT, OPC, are welcome. Please use these scheduled races for your testing time. AOF and HOA have made it as affordable as we can. Do not test on this lake unless it is in one of these sanctioned and permitted events.
We are sorry for any inconvenience, but we all do the best we can with dates and scheduling. We look forward to seeing you all sometime this winter.
