Please send some to the Pacific Northwest, we're at 55-75% of normal this year for snow-pack, and above average for temps. El Nino......

At least they know how to clear the roads back East, we had 1 foot ice ruts for over a week after our last blizzard.

The Sound of Silence

I live in the country but work in the big city where there is always noise, noise, noise. I hope those city folks get a chance to experience a snowfall where there is only "the sound of silence". You're looking out my front door at my lawn furniture and fire pit...

At a conference in Kalispell Montana and they were saying you guys are getting "Snowzilla" there on the east coast. Think we got and inch here last night, snowpack about 60% of "normal"

Next thing you know they will have a heat wave and flooding. We are not looking forward to fire season this year. We have not had more than an inch of snow this year.

The good weather is in Alaska

We're having the "warmest" winter I have seen in my 23 years here in Alaska. It's also the 2nd lowest snowfall on record they say. There is about 8 inches on the ground, and it's 24 degrees! So warm that today we had to take our "overflow" freezer, a big cooler on the deck that we put food in when we are too lazy to carry it to the freezer or need more room.

Winter Warming?

Here in AZ at our summer mountain retreat, our friends sent pictures where the cars were covered where you had to dig to find them.
YES GLOBAL WARMING is here.
Down in the Phoenix area we got the RAIN for a week.

Typical for an El Nino winter...article is dated 10-15-2009

El Nino splits the jet stream, and now it's hitting the Southern US.

http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories...eroutlook.html

Below-average temperatures are expected across the Southeast and mid-Atlantic from southern and eastern Texas to southern Pennsylvania and south through Florida.

Olympic organizers dealing with lack of snow in Vancouver

El Nino's disrupting weather all across North America.

Especially warm in the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia.

It's been much cooler with more rain than normal here in South Florida.
I hope everyone is ok in the "new snow belt".
