Hey Dude
Hope you had a nice time in Hawaii
Thanks for the texts & attempts to get ahold of me
I just haven't felt much like talking about boat racing lately
Haven't been thinking much about boat racing lately either
The fun factor is not at all where it should be- I'll give you an example.
After my nightmare trying to get to Tabor City, I was putting stuff away in the trailer when I got home. All at once I realized that JUST BEING IN THE TRAILER brought me this feeling of sadness/disgust/regret that I could not shake.
It was right exactly then that I realized that WE ARE NOT HAVING FUN HERE FOLKS.
Boat racing should be the joy of my life. Instead, it just seems like a chore.
After racing off-road motorcycles for 30+yrs, one day I was mowing grass and suddenly realized "****. I gotta race this weekend." All at once I realized that racing wasn't fun anymore- it was like work. You did it because you "had to"-(Points, championships etc) not because you wanted to.
I feel like that about boat racing already. Except now instead of chasing points, I race simply because I have so much god**** money tied up that I feel like I "have to".
I hope this helps you to understand where my head is at
Thanks again
George & moxie
