What a beautiful boat.. someone will step in and win with this rig. We race D hydro at all the NBRA races. You can't get it built for his price and look he will help to get it to you. Vernon Barfield has one just like that and constantly wins including NBRA championships.

Leaving to the air port to the meeting in Orlando. Unfortunately we fly from Tulsa to Chicago, then to Orlando. We go to exchange ideas to how best to continue our sport. Do we want to appeal to spectators or just have the sport appeal to drivers. We don't have a promoter or a race site that has weekly...

We owed a D hydro with 3 mil deck. We turned over and the boat came apart. We sold the boat when we had a boat with a 4 mil deck built. The next driver turned it over and it came apart again. I concluded that 3 mil deck is not strong enough to hold up under a turn over incidence.

To get a boat that's wide enough and long enough, it has to have more expensive materials than wood. Foam board and aluminum honeycomb and the really expensive carbon fiber. Then there is the American diet that has Americans heavier. To attract people to our sport we can not exclude those that are in...

To summarize my article, NBRA has change its rules to Aline with APBA, with a few exceptions. The D class with the tohatsu weight is 500 lbs. there.

I wrote a big piece on comparable rules in the two groups, but it was not printed on this site. Said it needed to be edited. I hope the editor prints it.

NBRA has made the D motors, 40 merc mods. And the stock Tohatsu legal in the 44 ci class called E runabout. This make a good field of the big runabouts. The Tohatsu was already legal in the se runabout. It is also legal to run a 44 merc in the SE runabout as it is in APBA. Without aleast 5 boats in...

While D Stock Hydro is growing in NBRA, APBA participation has decline. A number of D Stock hydros are located in Wisconsin. It's the only large engine that you can buy off the shelf from APBA. Lot of Mercurys are still out there.

What's up Doc? Race Team news
Our website, Whatsupdocracing.com has been up dated to include the races we plan to attend in 2019. The other big news is we have downsized our motor home to a forty foot discovery . John Ruff has volunteered to help drive and cook for the aging team. Braxton will drive most of the boats, while Rick...

Sponsors want to know how many motel rooms will you buy in their town. If we have to cross over then the groups need to make it as reasonable as possible for the drivers, even APBA.
