  • Sorry I didn't answer sooner. The cost would be at least $1000.00. Assuming all new parts. Gear ratio, either 14:14, OR 16:21 would make a small difference. All of the parts are available, other than the case itself.

    David, It is my belief that it is a MK30H case that was assembled with 25SS parts. Those specific priority parts would have been: 25SS drive shaft, ball bearing, and 25SS pilot assembly. In addition, the mounting studs were different. The Mk20H units had the studs mounted approx. 1 inch deeper...

  • I assembled the gear case in 98. it had to have been a MK30H version, as the 25SS parts would not fit. The top ball bearing is a different size than that used for the MK20H. Mercury machined up some MK30H castings to fit the MK20H when they ran out of the short skeg cases. They had apparently disposed...
