thanks for turning the light on here Sam. I didnt realize it was legal. But, it looks like we would agree with the observation I made about what happens when too many guys start going faster around and above the 100 mark in open cockpits unrestrained etc. That's why all the work has gone into capsule boats. However.... now knowing that it is a legal mod makes me wish I had just been quiet and watched the show. Thx-Alex

Darren, Region 4 may only have 3 races and only one by CVRA. Wilson NC, Roanoke Rapids NC and Clarksville VA. Region 3 will have spring and fall races at Millville, spring race at Lambertville and 2 races at Lock Haven. There will also be races at Franklin PA ... a little closer for you than me. I will probably only be going to the Millville races and Labor Day at Lock Haven. If you only go to one race, Labor Day at Lock Haven should be it.

Hi Sam,
By collaboration I mean that each sanctioning group give the best data they have to a universal coordinating committee, which could be the UIM. This best data is shared with everyone and hopefully employed by the respective groups. I'm not saying that all boats must have Unlimited canopies. Kneel downs, OPC, inboard etc. have to look at what's realistic for their categories. This would not be a major change, but it would provide the best data worldwide so choices can be made based on empirical data. For example, had the Lavin guidelines been in force for the Victory Team, those two racers would likely be alive. The Lavin guidelines are just that guidelines, but not universally employed in the categories (Offshore) which could adapt them.
