USTS FIREWORKS AT LAKE SPRINGFIELD, Ill

The next round of the USTS racing Begins on Saturday, June 30 had a beautiful race site with Our class is being run Saturday and Sunday.. After a successful race at Pleasant Prairie over Memorial day weekend, we light the proverbial match to another round of racing.

We looked for many more boats this weekend as we understand some of the Florida folks are coming up as well of course the East Coast guys coming over.

This is a great venue with a beautiful part that elevates and gives a great view of the race course. Please look for all of our national champions as well as the Title Series points champions to be in attendance. Come on out enjoying a great weekend of racing as will get started at about noon each day on Saturday and Sunday with testing all afternoon on Friday.

The testing for the Springfield round of the USTS commenced under blue skies and hot, hot, hot weather. Heat index over 100 and taking its toll.

Shannon Chance ended up going in to be flushed with fluid as heat exhaustion very real this weekend.

75 entries so far will test not only their speed, but I think their endurance as well. Foresee some fogged face-shields this weekend.

A very nice party with great food provided by our leader Todd and his bride Diane ended a productive test day.

Should be getting underway with testing and racing shortly with good fields.
