  • Omc 15a driveshaft

In need of driveshaft an coupler, water tube and tuner for once 15a to adapt racing gearcase. Could anyone shed some light on this subject. Does the driveshaft have to be cut and welded to the coupler? On the gearcase it looks like a water pump would mount. Does anything bolt to this?

the drive shaft and coupler are not welded - the shaft is splined at both ends .There is a housing that bolts to the top of the gearcase to align the water tube- I think the tube is a stock 15 hp part - look on line for a 15 a parts breakdown .

I have new driveshafts ($90.00 each) and couplers ($55.00 each) for this application plus postage. Couplers work on other applications also such as Hot Rod, Sidewinder and Merc J/AX.
