  • No 1 speedmaster

Just picked up a Byers craft with a 75H clone. I believe the gearcase is a no 1 speedmaster. My question is:how do you fill it. Doesn't seem to be any fill or drain plugs on it.

About 1 to 2 inch's below the anti-cavitation plate is the fill and the vent is above the ac plate. They are labeled but pretty small print/cast letters.

How about a picture of your engine & lower unit... Maybe it's an OMC 45SS gearcase..? I've seen that used on an inline 6 Mercury.

I don't know what to make of this...here's a photo of the "speedmaster" I pulled off my 75H today. It appears that the pump housing is epoxied in place.Any recommendations.
