  • Timing a Yamato 250

How do I set the timing on a Yamato 250?

  • #2
Find TDC, Look for mark on rotor and on stator, Back engine off more than .060. Then bring it back to .060. Loosen the screws that secure the stator plate and aline marks at .060 BTDC for starters.

I set that motor at .070 BTDC when I ran it. 1987 Kawasaki KX125 reeds will work in the air boxes.

Al I see you are working on your 250. With three races coming up in the next few weeks what ones are on your schedule? My 250 is ready to go but not on my schedule till Lawerence. Although that could change...
