Anyone ever made one for a merc 15? That would be cool. Like a 10xs

No... I doubt it, but the 10XS midsection, gearcase & throttle bracket is the same as a 25XS, so with the right 10XS adapter plate you could bolt on a 15hp Mercury powerhead & top/bottom cowling and make a 10XS pretty easily.

The 10xs gearcase is not the same as the 25xs.....it actually has a different driveshaft.....much smaller that the 25xs shaft......everything else is the same.....

Thanks mercguy!! I went back to the person who gave me the info.and told them thanks for making me look stupid-lol!! Then was told it could be used for a 44 if you modified an adapter plate for it. Now, my question is, how much modifiying can you do before you actually start to weaken it, if that makes sense.

you cant modify that top adaptor plate to fit a 44 Merc............the crank centerline, mounting holes and bottom cap of the 44 will not line up properly without creating alignment/vibration issues.............that's why Lee makes separate ones............I have 6 towers built by Lee.................thought about buying yours for a spare (Lee told me about it), since he's not making them anymore............
