The Lucas facility is first class in every respect. I officiated at the NBRA race there last summer. The only downside is that the course is extremely narrow. We used two bouy turns and the bouys were really close together. It can be done but the turns are tight. Have fun! Enjoy! You won't find a more helpful staff than those Lucas folks. Jack

      Jack,

I'm not being negative but I'm not sure how they plan to pull this off with a full field of 16' tunnel boats.

We limited the number of boats to 6 on Sat in D Hydro but then ran 7 on Sunday. It's 400 ft wide. The guys were scraping the large gravel banks coming out of the turns. One way to help is to slant the course slightly (slightly off alignment with the shoreline) to allow a little more room on exiting the turns. The site has been looked at by the Formula 1 folks and I'm sure they are not going into this without knowing the situation and having a plan. Jack
