  • INSTANT RESULTS............STANDISH, MAINE. ICEBREAKER 2019

SSOA held it's 2019 Icebreaker Opening Regatta in balmy Standish Maine this past weekend. Steve Noury under adverse weather conditions managed to get both days of racing in. This was Dan 'The Man' Parkers final race after 60 years of racing in APBA. Dan's first race as a young boy was at Standish 60 years ago and now as a older boy it was his final event..........Congrats Dan and we will miss you. Click onto the APBA link below to view the Instant Results and view other recent APBA results and articles. Thanks again to Tana Moore and Captain Steve Noury for getting the (unofficial) results in so quickly for our viewing pleasure

Let's give credit where credit is due:
to the scoring team of Annette Weber, Carole Terry and Annette Woodle,
to the scoring assistants when they were not racing: Erin Woodle, Rachel Warncock and Scott Clark,
to the flagger for all 36 heats Billy Allen,
to the Patrol boat volunteers that did every changeover in under 5 minutes,
and to all of the participants for your support ...... THANK YOU

Despite the wind delay this is a great, well run race. This should be on everyone's list
to shake out the cobwebs and start the season off. See you next year!
