Dumb question but what diameter and thread pitch is the propnut for a Yamato gearcase? I know the shaft area where the prop sits is 9/16 but the threads are noticably smaller than and not sure what that size is.

It should be 1/2-20 on one that's been converted

I chased the threads with a 1/2 - 20 die and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the responses.

            New shafts I have and install are 9/16 - 9/16 X 20 threads.Made by Lee Tietze, I stock as a dealer.
Been 9/16 treads for 2 years now.

Re: 9/16 Yamato Prop Shafts. The original thread was 1/2-20. I changed the thread to 9/16-18 two years ago.
