My first boat ever, which I first raced too, was the Scat Cat. It was a real good building experience one time, but I have never had the urge to repeat.
The Scat Cat was a good boat, I briefly ran it BSH in the late 60's. Those plans are there in that first reply to download and print out. If you take them on a stick to a office shop they can print them 17x22 or even 22x34.

    Hello Heat1Racing,

I don’t think there are any plans for Karelsen, Sid Craft or Marchetti Hydros. The only way would be to have someone measure one and give you those measurements.

But as I mentioned before Hal Kelly plans are still available.

    Best Regards,

    Dean Hobart...........

Looks like a vintage NEAL or copy thereof. Check the antique race boat museums and you might get lucky.

Are there any plans available for early Karelsen, Sid, or Marchetti round nose, fabric deck hydros? Would like to find someone to build these for me.

Your boat looks ‘similar’ to a swift Hydro but the cowl is not the same. Hal Kelly had plans available and are still available.

A Hal Kelly “Buzzard” would be a good choice.

    Good luck.

You could build a Scat Cat from Science and Mechanics, April 1953. http://www.svensons.com/boat/?p=HydroPlanes/ScatCat

If you would like higher resolution scans that can be blown up for better visibility, PM me with your email and I'll send them...
