  • FANTASTIC COLLECTION FOR SALE-JIM STREET ESTATE SALE

I just love looking at all this amazing stuff Jim had. If you want to see some really cool stuff go to the Jim Street estate sale by Mecum auctions, Jim passed away last year and he had a heck of a collection.

Man, I’m partial to the 33’ Greavette, the Maltese Falcon... bet that will go for a pretty penny.

I've been chomping at the bit for that gorgeous Mercury MK30...
I'm tempted to ask off that Friday(!)
The guys on the JOM (John's Old Mercury) vintage site have been watching this upcoming event very closely

I went to a Mecum car auction when they were here in Harrisburg, PA- it was fantastic. They had a whole fleet of brand new tractor- trailer rigs just to haul the stage gear/equipment
I'm sure there is a buyer's fee involved- I'd hate to guess what it is
    Thx for posting

To me the best of all is the Soriano on the black Switzer Shooting Star. It is listed on the boats tab for Saturday I think. VERY cool. A flat 6 dual overhead cam supercharged outboard. Check out the lower unit on it.

Great call, Steve; that is amazing.

Among the historically significant pieces, one that might not immediately get noticed is that original sea sled by Albert Hickman who invented the design in the early 20th century. There are some articles you can google if interested; here's one:
