Alan van Weele has been very busy the last few weeks in the Aeroliner Race Boats Shop completing two Novice boats to be brought to Tunk's NBRA race. These boats were supposed to have been picked up last year in finished condition. When he and I went to pick them up, which we were told they were finished and ready much to our surprise they were only 60% done. This year Alan wanted to dug in and completed these boats in time for the opening race of the season. These boats paid for from the funds collected from the sale of boats, engines and parts that were donated to the LBRA by the Estate of Glen D. Nelson with the hope it would provide opportunities for young people to get a taste of boat racing. These boats will be available at the race along with engines Glen donated. We hope to see them at all NBRA events this year along with hoping to add new members to the sport of boat racing.

What's up Doc? Race team will travel Thursday to Tunks, we will bring excellent pit help in Charley Holman and Tony Anderson, also our driver and cook John Ruff. Because of school Braxton and Rick will fly in Friday morning. One note; we will not have a C Stock entry, as Braxton will drive a lot of heats, and we don't need him to fill the class.

We welcome all to the NBRA opening race. Thanks Larry, yes I'm only positive about the whole event, as no organization has ever given a gift to members of that value. This last fall one of our members had a foot injury which prompted the offer of the Kevlar scoks from funds donated by the Nelson family. It was Alan Van Whele's idea. Safety is a priority amount our members. Thanks to the Nelsons and Alan to make this happen.

What's up Doc? Race team will show up. Braxton will drive all the classes, if some one has a E for him. Taking in those that are not afraid to sweat. We will be the Gitter Done race team.
