  • Filler Block Sealant

Can anyone tell me what people are using now to attach a filler block to a 20H block? I'm putting a cornpopper together and wanted to see what's out there for a sealant.

I use high temp RTV blue. Just be sure to remove any extra that squeezes out into the exhaust passages

Why not the red high temp. I know color doesn't matter but is there a reason to use blue over red

The color is the temperature rating indicator. The Permatex Gold RTV is the highest, blue - red - gold. When filling a large space put it in in stages, maybe a 1/2 inch at a time. Glob it all in at once and it may never cure in the center.
