  • Yamato 202?

Looking at Yamato's history, they made a 202, but I have yet to see anyone running one. I know Steve French runs one on his mod boat, but I haven't seen one at any of the races I've been to...at least that I'm aware of. Just curious why?

Apparently it is for 500, I know someone who is running one in that class.

202 is legal in NBRA. If someone is running in APBA they should add it to the list of legal motors because its not on it

My understanding is that it is not legal for stock, but is legal for mod.

APBA web site should add that motor to the list of legal motors then... 30 /30h/wizard/102/302 is all they show

There are Two 202's early and late model. Early model has a 102 crankshaft, late model is a 302 with point ignition. Early model has proven to be the fastest! Lighter rotating mass.

So it is not legal for C mod?

              No.

I confirmed with the owner of the 202 I know that it is not being raced in APBA racing.

Thank you. I just purchased one but I guess I will just race it in NBRA.

How does the 101 fit into the mix? We have three of them that we use for the NorCal program in Region 11.
