Oberto Calls It Quits

Sad news - local Seattle news says Oberto will not sponsor unlimited hydros after the 2015 season. Evidently this is a hard call by the Oberto company/family - some still want to support the sport and request patrons to send emails to Oberto to continue supporting the sport.

Looks like Oberto's is going Drag Racing. It was just announced that they are sponsoring John Hale with Jim Dunn Racing Team Dodge Funny Car. More bang for the buck?

Believe drag racing has local, national, & international TV coverage the same day as the event to market product(s) to the mass population?

From the sponsor's advertising point of view, would make sense to support drag racing vice unlimited hydros... more exposure to the public... unfortunate for hydo racing.
