The race is on!!! OBRA has received a $5,000 commitment from the Grand Lake Casino. We plan two evening parties with food. The race will be National Boat Racing Association Short Course regionals. We plan $1000 in cash prizes going to the four largest classes, tow money, C class winner will receive the Mark Monkres Award and the high point winner will receive the Clyde Bayer High Point trophy. Grand Lake is a beautiful lake and Wolf Creek Park is a 1.2 million dollar facilities for water sports. Last year, 3,400 spectators attended the race, 42 Trailers from 15 states participated.

We do a number of things to elevate the drivers to the large numbers of spectators that attend. We build a small stage in front of a large banner and present winners with medallions. We have two social events for the drivers. There are six large ramps that we launch from, thus no wadding in mud or rocks. The site is in town so all facilities are at you finger tips.

Thunder on wolf creek is one month away. Motels that have special rates are Grand Lake Casino 1918- 786- 8528 and Stonebrook Inn 1-918-786-9799 and Honey Creek Motel 1-918-786-6113. Visit Lendonwood Garden while your in Grove. Free food for racers at Grand Lake Casino 8:00 pm Friday June 19th. Awards party Saturday evening.

Doc, you might want to call the Casino. I just tried to make my reservation and they didn't know anything about the upcoming race.

They have new personnel. I've called them yesterday. The Grand Lake Casino is our sponsor and they will have a dinner for 50 people on Friday at 8:00pm. If you have time visit Harber Village and Lendonwood Garden, two of our tourist sites. As a driver you will get a chance to win a 2 large screen TVs during the races. The last two years drivers or crew have won the TVs.
