  • ASH race from the 1950's

Check out this ASH race from a Pat Boone movie Bernidene in 1957. SIDS's were the choice back then. It was filmed just up from a dam (at 28:51), where is this?
    Starts just after 26:38:

Now that is pretty cool. Anyone recognize any of the racers in the real racing footage or know who's rig they used in the soundstage footage?

It was somewhere in California....... It was a staged race for the movie. I saw this movie way back when. Ron Hill knows exactly where it was and also most likely Ernie Dawe.

Here is a link to Boat Racing Facts where Ron Hill talks about this movie. Apparently, filmed at Saguaro Lake in Maricopa County, Arizona. Ron Hill's older brother Russ was in the film.

Too Cool.. If memory serves me right,, Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis had a movie where they both drove runabouts and green tank mercs..
Would have been in the late 50's.. Does anyone remember this???
